The Green Chameleon

What is required within each garden project?

The Chameleon Project is a green project. During construction, strict attention will be paid to ensure all materials and procedures conform to environmentally friendly methods. Gardeners and landscapers who work with the project will be required to use techniques that benefit the Earth. Pesticides and chemicals will not be employed. Composting and permaculture systems will be used to fertilize and enhance the gardens.

Daily operations of the project will also adhere to our green policy. Recycling will be fully utilized in all areas, including all waste materials from our many eateries within the domes as well as the stores outside the complex.

Each garden will need several components submitted. The Design Registration and Release Form must be submitted with your concept. Each garden site will need the following:

•  A geometric symbol incorporated into your design. We are asking these be done in floralFloral Examples combinations that would best delineate the design features of the symbol you have chosen. The floral patterns offer continuous changes of color. It not only expresses what the project is about, but also continually creates beautiful changes for returning visitors. Other options are available. In that case, give us a full description of your idea.

•  A walkway design leading people through your site that will capture the best vantage points of your garden. It will also be necessary to create good views of the geometric symbol you are working with. For example, you can build up landmass to gain a better visibility or maybe you have chosen to put the design on a slope, angled for a better view. There are samples and ideas of gardens you can see that may spark some ideas for you. Pathways may need to be created that go between your garden site and your neighbors. Coordination with your neighbors may be necessary. That information can be obtained through the project headquarters.

•  Let us know any special requirements you want to include with your design, also any ecologically sensitive plants or features. Those will have to be approved before you can move forward.

• A perimeter wall is needed to isolate your garden from the others. There are numerous possibilities such as a wall of foliage. You may need to work with your neighbor to create a workable situation for the both of you, since your neighbor is bound by the same criteria for a partition. You may want to consider a partition along the main sidewalks to keep people from stepping into your site where there is not a walkway. Be creative here and cost effective.

• Coordination with a neighbor may be essential if your design includes larger trees that may shadow your neighbor’s garden site.

• You will need to submit all suggested lighting, electrical and water needs.

• We need a budget of what you believe your garden will cost. Break it down so we can understand the larger components you have in mind. (A word of caution, if your design is too outlandishly expensive, it could affect your chances as a viable possibility.)

We will provide sources of supplies for your convenience and also help deliver necessary items for your project. We will have accounts with different businesses to support your needs.
